Here at the Gillespie Group we have decided to see what our previous interns are doing these days. We want to know how interning with us has helped them on their career path. Today we caught up with Brianna Schmidt.

Internship Date: Spring of 2012

Describe Gillespie Group in one word: Inspirational

Where are you working now?

I actually JUST started as a project coordinator at an advertising agency in Philadelphia, Munroe Creative Partners.  I was interning at the spring of my senior year and I was only a few months into my internship and they offered me a full time job!  It was a dream come true, not to mention that I didn’t even have to ever interview, I just jumped right in. I like to call it luck or being in the right place at the right time, while others suggest that I must have done something right. Whatever it was I am so am so grateful to have a job that I love, with great people right out of college.

What is your favorite memory of GG?

Hmmmm…..this is a hard one. There are so many good memories that I have. There was the time Debbie gave me tickets to see the Q102 SpringleBall, when I interviewed the staff for Facebook and listened to Gregg tell stories of all the famous people he has worked with, when Mike Sr. came to speak at my college club event and watching the Godfather during lunch….but the memory that tops them all was when we all the whole staff posed as the madmen cast with cigs, scotch and face masks!!

How did your internship at GG compare to any other internship you had?

It was the most fun I have ever had while learning.

What advice would you give to someone who is about to start their first internship?

Make sure you take every opportunity to dive into a project, share your ideas (most of them are probably better than you think), work hard and don’t forget to have fun!

What was the most helpful or important thing you learned at GG?

Being that it was my first internship, EVERYTHING I learned was helpful and important. Real world experience tops anything you can learn in a classroom.

How has your experience at Gillespie helped you later in life?

It taught me that no matter what you are doing in life you should enjoy it, as well as the people that surround you.
